SNAD® by YKK® is a plastic adhesive snap component for the marine industry. The UV treated plastic will not deteriorate from exposure to sunlight, sand or dirt. The underside of the SNAD® is a pad of 3M® VHB® adhesive tape that enables the SNAD® to adhere to a surface without any drilling. All you need to do is clean the surface to which the SNAD® is being applied, peel off the protective paper backing, press the SNAD® in place and release.
SNAD® are great for applications such as fastening marine carpeting to decks, fastening cushions and seating, attaching console and windshield covers and replacing existing screw studs without the need to fill in screw holes. Its unique dome shape and low profile enables barefoot boaters to walk over it without risk of injury. YKK® SNAD® are also available in a flexible PVC with a stainless stud attached for applications where the SNAD® must conform to a curve. Completely compatible with standard durable fasteners.
