Tenara® sewing threads are the new standard for marine sewing threads. Made from 100% synthetic PTFE fiber,
Tenara® will not rot or mildew. It is not affected by acid rain, industrial pollutants, or cleaning agents and it has a 550 degree F melting point making it non-flammable. Tenara® is totally immune to UVR degradation. The “lIFETIME MARINE CANVAS WARRANTY” tells it all.
Tenara® sewing threads are available in standard or TR which is pre-lubricated. The lubricated makes for a smoother cooler running needle. Both the standard Tenara® and the “TR” (Lubricated) are available in regular (Our V92) and heavy duty (our V138). The standard is stocked in both white or black in 1 pound or 8 oz. tubes. The “TR” is stocked in white, black, gray or translucent in 8 oz. spools only. Additional colors of “TR” are available by special order. The translucent is great for matching the large variety of colors of the marine fabrics we carry.
